Innovation Week 2022 is October 11-14

by Sep 26, 2022

Innovation Week (iWeek) is coming, and we’re really excited about this year’s slate of events. Every year we partner with ecosystem leaders to celebrate and support innovation for one jam-packed week in October. If you’ve been wanting to deepen your connections to the startup community and The Mill, iWeek is your ticket!

iWeek 2022 brings events from TechPoint, gBETA, the Indiana Technology & Innovation Assocation, the Gayle & Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship at Ivy Tech, the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, Indiana University Innovation & Commercialization Office, NSWC Crane, and Purdue MEP.

Get the inside skinny from TechPoint on what works to recruit tech talent. Explore tech initiatives & issues with local elected officials at the Bloomington Tech Town Hall. Get hands-on help for your business at workshops to create a financial model or an employee attraction & retention action plan. Learn how your business can engage with the powerful opportunities in the defense ecosystem centered at Crane.

Like to feed your face AND your mind?! Pop in to Design & Donuts for casual creative chat about design. Join us and the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day (fourth annual for Bloomington, woot woot!) with a lunch and panel discussion. We’ll have a mystery guest from Palo Alto and announce a new Ada Lovelace Innovation awardee. Come to the gBETA bragbox breakfast to celebrate our entrepreneurial community and swap war stories from the startup world. Are you a Chamber member? Great! Grab lunch at the “Taste of Change” session (part of the Business Development Series).

If you’re a Shark Tank fan, we’ve got TWO events for you. Come to the Crossroads Pitch Competition Finals, or check out the IU Idea to Startup Pitch Competition Finals. Watch entrepreneurs from around the state “pitch” their innovative business ideas to a panel of expert judges to compete for thousands in prizes. We promise you will be inspired, energized, and maybe even a little surprised by just how cool these Hoosier innovators are.

Registration is required for some, but not all events. Check out the full slate here, or explore and RSVP on Eventbrite.
