It’s tough out there! Navigating work and life is filled with challenges for women and the pandemic journey has exacerbated stress. If it feels like you are losing your sense of self because you are so busy tending to everyone else’s needs above your own – this series is for you.
This 4-part series is designed for the women interested in rolling up their sleeves to focus on what they really need to be happy and fulfilled, on their terms. We will create an intimate and safe space to face challenges together and get unstuck. You’ll dig in with action steps and practical tools to live the life you want to lead. This series will empower you to move forward using experiential learning in the company of supportive women.
Sessions will meet from 4pm to 5:30pm on four afternoons: September 29, October 27, November 17, and December 15. The room will open at 3:30pm and close at 6pm to allow you to come early or stay later to connect with other women in the Bloomington community.
Living a Values-Based Life (Sept 29) – Work to uncover your deepest values (going beyond bigger picture values like family, wellness, etc.) to honor the things that make your life worth living. If you weren’t spending time struggling with anxiety and other fears, what would you do? We will help you work to act in accordance with who you truly are and lead you through creating new habits by using systems rather than willpower. The techniques and methods from this session will help propel you through the rest of the sessions as you create change in your life and career.
Recharge, Reignite, and Reinvent Your Career (Oct 27) – Consider your unique stage in life and career and how you can break the monotonous rut and focus on what matters to you most. Discover how to get off the vicious energy depleting treadmill and invent the future you want to live. Use design thinking to create what you would do if you were not afraid.
Kick Imposter Syndrome in the Ass (Nov 17) – It’s time to get serious about honing your confidence so you can showcase it regularly and stop apologizing. Practice empowering techniques to let your light shine brightly and be comfortable in your own skin. Tap your strengths to own your power for good.
The Art and Science of Living a Happier and More Meaningful Life (Dec 15) – Practice ways to control your anxiety through learning simple stress reduction techniques including changing your thought patterns, mindfulness, and meditation. Learn proven interventions to increase positive emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, with each one helping you to create more balance and meaning in your life.
