Isaac and Chris did not meet at a networking event. They met playing pickleball, then kept running into each other, then kept talking. Eventually those conversations turned into a habit: tossing around business ideas outside of their day jobs and pressure-testing what might actually work.
One idea kept coming back: vending.
At first, they were skeptical. Traditional vending has a reputation for mechanical problems, frustrating maintenance, and limited flexibility. It can feel like a business built around breakdowns.
Then they discovered a newer generation of AI-powered vending technology, and it flipped the script.
These machines are designed to reduce common mechanical failure points, while adding the parts modern operators actually need: real-time inventory tracking, detailed sales analytics, and a cleaner experience for customers. Once Isaac and Chris found the right technology partner, vending stopped feeling like an outdated side hustle and started looking like a scalable, data-driven business they could build with care.
That became Tap N Take.
The “smart” part does not mean effortless. Isaac and Chris have been candid about the learning curve: understanding the technology, configuring machines properly, and getting each location set up so it performs well.
Then comes the ongoing work that separates a real business from a lucky start: testing product mix, learning what sells in different environments, and iterating based on the numbers and the day-to-day reality of each location. There has been trial and error, and plenty of tinkering, but that process has made the business stronger and the experience more reliable.
What began as a practical opportunity has become something they genuinely enjoy building: a modern vending company that is well-executed, dependable, and built to scale.
If you have been by recently, you have probably seen their machine here. We are proud to be one of their locations and to support builders who are doing the unglamorous work of getting the details right.
Next time you walk past it, take a look. It is a small example of something we see a lot around here: people meeting through community, spotting an opportunity, then doing the work to turn it into something real.
